The repair begins on a simple scratch bumper by sanding the damaged area. If needed, a light application of flexible polyester filler designed for plastic bumpers for added pliability is applied. Then, multiple layers of primer and using different grits of wet/dry sand paper until the desired uniformity on the surface has been obtained. A two stage painting process; a base coat is applied or a three stage painting process where the pearlescent will be applied and the clear coat of glossy polyurethane to protect the paint from weather and other elements.
